In 1997, Michigan became of the last states to adopt the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act. With this new statute on Michigan’s books, turning a foreign judgment into a Michigan judgment became a far easier task. We simply need a check for $250 and a certified copy of the foreign judgment.
